Project Title: Identifying therapeutic harm-reduction best practices of psilocybin facilitators, psychedelic administrators, licensed mental health professionals.
PATA has partnered with a PSU doctorate student to conduct a survey on the Demographics of psilocybin facilitators, psychedelic administrators, licensed mental health professionals.
Selected professionals will be chosen for paid interviews of phase II questions.
See below for the link to the study.
We are looking for professionals who work with seekers during preparation, administration, or integration. LMHPs or other clinically licensed professionals do not need to be involved in administration or substance handling to take this survey. We are looking for feedback from all professionals who are assisting seekers in their goals including "underground" guides and indigenous practitioners.
We will be conducting semi-structured, in-depth interviews with individuals who currently work as OPS-affiliated psilocybin facilitators and have completed and graduated from an Oregon Psilocybin Services facilitator training program, AND for LMHPs and unaffiliated psychedelic administrators. The goal is to evaluate if harm reduction is present within psilocybin facilitation and to identify how all professionals define and use harm-reduction in their practice within or outside of OPS. We are also interested in seeing personal meanings and examples of therapeutic harm reduction.
The outcomes of the study will be used to identify areas of improvement and create unified definitions of harm reduction and principles to reduce harm from all professionals assisting clients with administration and integration of psilocybin experiences. Results will be shared with respondents and the general public.
