Harm Reduction Research Study to Identify Best Practices

The Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Association (PATA) is currently conducting research on psilocybin-assisted therapy and therapeutic harm reduction. We are looking for licensed mental health providers (LMHPs) who participate in any part of PAT, and psychedelic facilitators who work in mixed (above and underground) settings, or purely underground settings.

• This research study is in coordination with a Portland State University Doctoral Student who is conducting interviews for their thesis research on therapeutic psilocybin therapy, harm reduction, and Oregon’s Measure 109.  

If you are an LMHP or an individual who works in a mixed or underground setting who utilizes therapeutic harm reduction within your practice, we would love to interview you. 

• All findings will be share publicly to further a collective professional use of the principles to reduce harm.

Participation will be confidential with anonymous participation available.

Phase 1 -  Demographics of psilocybin facilitators, psychedelic administrators, and licensed mental health professionals.  The initial questionnaire will gather demographic information to identify qualified individuals for Phase 2 questions. Questions will be available through an online form with individual responses remaining anonymous OR asked live arranged through Telegram for those wanting more anonymity.  Phase 1 questions should take no longer than 10 minutes.

Phase 2 - Qualified and selected individuals will participate in a live interview lasting 20 - 30 minutes. These question will identify individual practices of those involved in preparation, set & setting, administration, and/or integration of a PAT session. Participants can be a part of one or any of the areas listed. Participating in a client's/seeker's administration session is not needed.

Phase 2 participants will be eligible to win one of 8 - $25 Visa gift cards.

Option 1 - Phase 1 participants may chose to use our online form to have your answers recorded confidentially. Your contact information will be recorded but will not be shared or identified in the study findings. Use the button below if you chose this option.
